OUR WORK

Building Peace, Strengthening Communities

Our work is inspired by our vision of a peaceful, just, and democratic country that upholds the dignity and sanctity of human life for all. Guided by the Gender Responsive Peacebuilding (GRPB) Framework, we recognize that conflicts affect individuals differently based on age, sex, ethnicity, and other characteristics. Gender-responsive peacebuilding goes beyond addressing legal, social, and economic needs; it ensures that peace processes are inclusive and recognize women’s rights and roles in fostering sustainable peace.

Our proposed program delivery methods

Our Key Initiatives

Our key initiatives focus on fostering sustainable peace, promoting justice, and strengthening community resilience through collaborative and inclusive approaches

Conflict Reduction and Peacebuilding:

We work to mitigate conflicts at various societal levels by promoting dialogue, understanding, and collaboration among diverse community members

Combating Gender-Based Violence:

ECLF implements programs aimed at reducing gender-based violence, empowering survivors, and advocating for policies that protect vulnerable populations.

Capacity Building:

Through training and workshops, we equip community leaders and members with the skills necessary for effective peacebuilding and conflict resolution.

Community Cohesion Initiative:

We foster unity and collaboration among different social groups by promoting intercultural dialogue, reconciliation, and inclusive community-building activities.

Contextual Bible Studies:

We integrate faith-based approaches to peacebuilding by facilitating contextual Bible studies that encourage dialogue on justice, reconciliation, and social transformation.

Child Protection and Safeguarding:

We work to ensure the safety and well-being of children by promoting policies and practices that prevent abuse, exploitation, and neglect while advocating for child rights and welfare.

Local Peace Commitee

We have facilitated the formation of LPCs in several districts across Zimbabwe, fostering community-led mediation and dialogue to address local conflicts effectively.
