NEWS UPDATE

#ThursdaysInBlack

šŸ–¤ #ThursdaysInBlack šŸ–¤
Last week, during our All Stakeholders Workshop, everyone stood together to call for a world free of rape and violence.

By wearing black, we made a silent but powerful statement — violence is not inevitable, it can be prevented.

Every Thursday, we join the global movement, standing in solidarity with survivors and advocating for a safer, more just world for all.

OUR STORIES OF CHANGE

Healing and Transformtion

A Journey of Pain, Healing, and Hope

I am grateful to share my story with you, hoping it will bring me solace and relief. My life has been a tumultuous journey, but I am finally finding peace in my heart.

I come from a family torn apart by multiple divorces. My father’s constant marriages and remarriages left me feeling lost and unloved. My stepmothers treated me with cruelty, burdening me with household chores while their own children played freely. The pain and anger I feel toward my father still linger.

Transforming Lives Through Dialogue: A Story from Cowdry Park

I recounted how young girls, some barely in their teens, would come to me seeking morning-after pillsĀ orĀ birth control pills. Some wanted these medications to terminate pregnancies, while others sought them to prevent conception……

Testimonials

Good morning, ECLF Zimbabwe Team. I want to express my appreciation for your presence in Zimbabwe. Your impact is truly being felt; many souls are experiencing healing.

People are enduring immense pain due to personal circumstances within their families and communities. Without your intervention, many souls could have been lost.

To be frank, while churches are present, not all are doing enough to support those in need. Much of the church's message is now centered around prosperity, leaving individuals trapped in their personal struggles. Although churches encourage people to pray, certain life challenges require someone to mediate. Conflicts exist that demand more intervention than prayer alone can provide, which is a significant gap in our society. However, with the ECLF methodology and strategy, I believe we can make a real difference.

Keep up the great work, Team. As one of your recent participants in Cowdry Park, Bulawayo, I am grateful for all that I have learned, and I hope to serve as an ambassador for ECLF, promoting peacebuilding. BeĀ blessed,Ā Team.
